About Image Resize
Resizing changes an image's pixel dimensions - useful when a photo is too large for an avatar, a banner needs an exact width, or an upload form caps the resolution. This tool sets new width and height precisely, with an optional lock to keep proportions.
Upload an image, enter the target width and height, and decide whether to keep the aspect ratio. With the ratio locked, setting one dimension scales the other automatically so the image is not stretched. Downscaling keeps images sharp; upscaling enlarges pixels and can look soft.
Common targets include profile pictures, thumbnails, social media sizes, and web layouts that expect specific dimensions. To make the file smaller without changing dimensions, use Compress Image instead; the two tools are often used together.
